There are few things that scare me.

Ok that’s a lie…there are a lot of things that scare me….but I’m not about to share them with you because if I do then the next time you will see me and try to scare me.  🙂

However, I do want to share one thing.

Since becoming a Pampered Chef consultant I’ve had to cook a lot of recipes and Pampered Chef is very partial to using Philsbury Dough with most of their recipes…whether it be crescent dough, pizza dough, cookie dough…anything.

It looks like this.

These little things FREAK ME RIGHT OUT!

Oh I know some of you are probably snickering to yourself…but let me explain.

In order to get these things open….you have to peel the paper off from the side…to expose the line underneath.  Once you do so the can POPS open!

Well when it POPS it scares the living daylights out of me!

Or or or let’s take this example for a second shall we.

You go and peel the paper off and expose the line but you don’t expose all of the line so the can doesn’t pop open….and then you have to go find the place where it didn’t pop open and try to peel it away from there without getting your fingers caught and without being scared.

Seriously, this is my life.

Yesterday I had to open two of these.  TWO.  T – W – O!  Both of them decided not to open nicely for me.  It took me about five minutes to open one because I was scared of it popping on me and scaring me and then when I finally did it opened nicely.  Thank you pizza can thingy but I was anticipating the pop…you could have done it.  And then the second one it took me equally as long because of the paper not coming off right.  Then it scared me and I threw it on the floor because I jumped.

I’m sure people at my Pampered Chef shows get a good chuckle from me when they see my scared face and my fingertips trying to open these things for the recipe.  🙂

And every time I get scared because of opening these things I think of one person:  my friend Lisa who jumps at just about anything when she’s scared.  🙂  And I think to myself…I wonder if she’s scared of these things? 🙂

It’s that time again.  I get my weekly fill in the blanks from the blog: The Little Things we Do (check it out!)

1.   The last thing I ate was     Zesty Cheese Crunchers (chips) .

2.   The last song I listened to was   One Elephant went out to play (By Sharon Lois & Bram)    .

3.  Using the letters in my name I can spell    {Laura} Al, a, url, aura  (haha there isn’t a whole lot)

4.  If I had to dress in one color for the rest of my life I would pick   Red…it’s bright and it makes people happy.
5.  If you were to look in my bag right now you’d find    a Pampered Chef catalog, gum, my wallet, Little E’s Wallet, nail file, lip balm, hand sanitizer, keys, glasses cleaner, wetnaps.
6.  When I finish filling in the blanks I’m going to    go to bed!  .
7.  My all time favorite song to dance to is  Anything by  TobyMac or Undignified..(that’s a fun song to dance to)
Haha this one was just a bunch of random stuff…but still fun!

PS.  My goal is to write more next week.  I had my first Pampered Chef show this week on Thursday so I have been overhauling with Pampered Chef info to the brain the last week 🙂
Blessing:  My husband had work today…AND we got oil in our tank!! (That’s a double blessing…kinda like a double cup at Tim Horton’s…..can you tell I want coffee!!)

Sorry it’s been a while but well…we were on Christmas Vacation and travelling more than Santa Claus (but I’ll talk more about that later) and I’ve been super busy learning my new business:

 

Yup…I’m selling Pampered Chef products and super duper excited about it!!!

However there is a lot to learn and I feel like I’ve only covered about 10% of it lol.

Ah well…all in good time!

Tomorrow we are back to regular blog posts…got a few things to share with you.  🙂

For the past few weeks I knew this day was going to come and I dreaded it.

I tried to resist it….tried to forget about it.  Prayed and hoped that it wouldn’t happen.

I tried to will it not to be…..to stay this way forever…but ALAS:

My Pampered Chef Cheese Grater broke.

It was cracking a few weeks ago…and today the inevitable happened.  It broke right in half.

So sad.  So so so so so sad.

I’ve had this cheese grater since the early years of my marriage….and that will be ten years this October.

This is the best cheese grater out there.  Seriously.

When you order it, it comes with two different styles of graters and even a little measuring cup thing that you can attach to it to see how much cheese you are actually getting out of it.

You just put your cheese in the end, hold it down with the handy pressing handle and rotate it with the other handle and out comes your cheese.  Easy easy…sooooo Easy.

And then you can  put it in your dishwasher to clean it.  (I’m not actually sure if you are supposed to put it in your dishwasher to clean it…so if you have one and haven’t done so please don’t try that at home)

But now…my joy has been turned into mourning.  My ever so special Pampered Chef Cheese Grater has kicked the bucket.

I need a cheese grater….so what did I do?  Went out to Walmart and got a stainless steel stand up cheese grater.  I didn’t try to get the one that looked like the Pampered Chef one…my eyes could not deceive me on the crappy looking one they have there.

So for now this stainless steel standy uppy (I’m sure these are the correct terms) will have to do.

Just to let you know how much I like my Pampered Chef cheese grater, here is a picture of me still trying to grate my cheese after it broke:

It worked for what needed to be done…but after that I had to say good bye to it…and in the trash can it went. 😦

So so so so sad.

Blessing in this?  At least I was able to finish grating my cheese for tonight’s supper…even if I had to do it the hard way.  At one time I even contemplated cutting up the cheese with a knife into tiny tiny pieces. I’m glad I didn’t have to resort to that.
