I don’t know whether I just have mommy brain, or because my brain has been hurting or possibly even just because I’m getting older, but I find that I can’t remember things.  For example I will think of something to do, go to walk into the room to do it like two seconds later and totally forget what I was going in there for.

I know..I know…we’ve all done this..but I’ve been doing it a lot more lately.

For example:

On Sunday, Little E was complaining that his belly was sore before we headed to church.  So I let him crawl up on the couch and watch some tv.  I came in after a  bit and asked him if his belly was any better.  He said “not yet”.

I did some more things and then came back about fifteen minutes later and asked him the same question after he had some food and he said “yes, much better.”

On the way out the door I was getting his jacket on him and I asked him “E are you feeling better.  Does your stomach  hurt anymore?”

“No mom, it feels better now.”

We get in the car, head to church and after we are finished praying for the day I turned around and asked Little E if he was feeling better.  Not really paying attention to his answer because hubby started talking to me at the same time.

Ten minutes later we are almost at the church and I ask Little E.  “Is your tummy better now?”

To which he replied: (and he was yelling) “YES MY TUMMY IS BETTER!  HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT??!!”

Yup…this momma has too much on her brain…it’s on overload.  At least I haven’t forgotten a kid though….yet.  🙂

Before my husband and I got married we had never slept together, so on our honeymoon he was in for a real shocker.

He noticed something about me that I had never known before.  When it was time to settle down for the night apparently I tossed and turned a lot to the point that he said to me “Are you done yet?”

I never knew I did this, but apparently I’m a lot like Jessie in Full House when he is helping Michelle get ready for her big girl bed for the first time.  I have to find the sweet spot.

Ok…so that might have been a super long video just to show it…but come on..you all know you wanted to watch the rest of it.  🙂  Nothing like full house 🙂  Also, I’m sorry that you had to go to youtube to watch it….darn embedding rules.

So even to this day I still have to find the sweet spot…or I just lay there not getting any sleep.  I’m not sure if hubby has gotten used to it or if he just puts up with it.  Probably the latter.

I’m sure to him it feels a lot like this:

We don’t have a Simmons mattress….so obviously when I try to find my sweet spot Kevin moves around a bit.

Can you imagine what it was like when we used to have our waterbed?  🙂

I haven’t done this for a while but when I did I enjoyed it…so here is Fill in the Blank Fridays – Oct 5th version.  I link this up with the blog The Little things we Do.  Check her out..she’s awesome!

If you have a blog and want to do this, she has instructions on her page.  Pretty easy tho..just copy and paste and make sure you link up at her blog.

Here we go!

1.  The last thing I ate was    leftover tacos from last night.  So good even the second time around.
2.  The last time I went to the beach was at the end of August when we went down to Beulah (with my besties and the kids…and then to Pocologan, NB.  We stayed at this great little motel that you would never known looked like a cottage on the beach on the inside.  We loved it!  You can check it out here:  Clipper Shipp Beach Motel  (Much thanks to our friends Barry & Melissa for this great stay!)
3.  My last vacation was   when the girls and I went on a 4 day weekend sans hubbies and children to PEI.  GREAT TRIP!
4. The last place I drove was    to the mall to get a new purse.

5. The last song I listened to was  Family by TobyMac (His new album is awesome.)  Check it out here: Eye on It

6. The last thing I watched on TV was   Octonauts with Little E.  His favourite show.

7.  The last time I said “I love you” was  when I was putting Little E to bed.

Here is Momma’s In the Picture Day 2.  (PS.  I wanted to get a pic of us playing Raquetball together but I forgot to tell hubby)

My Blessing for the day:  I didn’t have a whole lot of time to hang out with my boy today…just was a bit busy…but tonight we had fun hanging out and telling jokes.

Last night I was on facebook (shocker!) and one of my friends shared a beautiful article on how mom’s sometimes don’t want to be in the picture because they may not look like they did pre-child days.  It was a GREAT read that went on to explain that us mom’s should want to be and NEED to be in the pictures because someday our child(ren) are going to look back on those pictures and wonder mommy wasn’t with them at events.

Also, It’s great to show them  how young we looked back then.  We don’t need to look our 100% best…who are we trying to impress?  Them?  NAH…we’ve already won their love when we kissed their aches, or held them when they were sick, paid attention to their stories or gave them  unconditional love.

Read the article here…it’s worth it.

So…that being said…I have a proposal.

I propose that each of us takes a picture of  us (that’s mommy and kids…and even daddies and kids, or whole families and kids) once a day for the next month.

That’s from now until November 4th.

Take them, make a collage out of them and hopefully by then I’ll figure out how to get it so that you can upload your picture on here and we can all share our mommy and kid photos.

Don’t cheat…just do it.  Do it unedited….don’t go fixing yourself up all nice first.  Be you, the real you….so your kids will recognize you.

What do you think?

Here’s day one for me:

My goal is to post mine on here each day…(as long as I can make it on) and then make a collage out of it at the end)
