Some of you may not be aware of it but November is NATIONAL ADOPTION MONTH.

It’s a time to raise awareness on adoption.

Adoption is a cause I firmly believe in…for obvious reasons. ¬†ūüôā

So..in order for ME to raise awareness on adoption I would like YOUR help!  (PLEASE)

If you are an adoptive parents or a biological parent that has given your child up for adoption I would love love love it if you shared your story on my blog as a guest post.

HOW? ¬†Well..it’s easy. ¬†All you do is comment and let me know you are interested…or you can email me at hegivesgrace@gmail.com . ¬†Once I hear from you I will be in contact with you and get you to share your story with me.

Then I will post it on my blog as a guest post.

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR STORY. ¬† I would really like to make it a guest post so that everybody can read it…and that way we can raise more awareness.

I’m probably going to repost this post a few times so we can make sure we get a few people to help out.

So if you are interested please please let me know.

I’m also asking biological ¬†parents to share their story as well. ¬†It’s always nice to hear from the other side of the coin as well.

Let’s raise awareness for adoption….it’s much better than the alternative (abortion)

Thanks so much!

I’m not having a very thankful day today so I thought that today of all days I really need to sit back and think of ten things I am grateful for.¬† So here goes:

1) Thankful for a great family visit this weekend.

2)¬† For my power bill being down under $100 (and that’s for 2 months!).

3)  For a fun filled day yesterday.

4)  For a great church family.

5)  That when my necklace broke this morning..it was only the chain and not the other pieces that I spent a lot of money on.

6)  For a relaxing afternoon today.

7)¬† For a washing machine and dryer that works great ūüôā

8)  For coffee.

9)¬† For an extra babysitting job that I got this last week…helps pay the bills.

10)  For great books to read!

Also..sorry I’ve been slacking on my posting.¬† Last week and this past week have been extremely busy and hectic…but hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things this week!

Today Little E went to preschool. ¬†After preschool he is always hyper…wants to tell us about his day and is just plain silly.

Well on the way home today with daddy they were driving and Little E says:

“Shiver me timbers dad! ¬†Did you see that truck!”

haha…Shiver me Timbers. ¬†LOL.

I wonder where he got that one from?

While we were away on our vacation last week I stopped in at Old Navy (of course) and bought a cute little Motorcycle fleece sweater for Little E. ¬†I was super excited about it cause I only paid $9 for it and it was really really cute…and he loved it!

Well, he only wore it once before he fell in some mud and got himself all dirty.

Yah...it went all over the side of his face too.

So…we took it off and we headed on our way home a day later.

Little E wanted to go outside one morning around 11:00….so I thought…today would be a PERFECT day for him to wear it.

So I searched for it…and searched for it…and searched for it some more.

I called my sister in law and asked her if she had seen it and she hadn’t. ¬†I remembered showing it to my mom so I called her later and she said she didn’t know where it was either.

So I searched and searched again….getting more and more frustrated as the day went on. ¬†Finally around 10 that night I gave up my search.

2 days later I found it…in a bag up on a shelf. ¬†I had glanced up on the shelf a few times the day I was searching for it…but all I found up there was a hat…and figured that was all that was there. ¬†I didn’t look through anything else….basically I was looking like a man does …hehe

I was so excited that I found it! ¬†I called my friends and told them…lol.

Then….later that same day Little E’s¬†lens fell out of his glasses. ¬†We searched all over the house for it…ALL over…couldn’t find it.

Hubby called Vogue Optical and they said it wouldn’t be covered under our warranty and that it would cost $90.

I kept searching…knowing that we didn’t have $90 for a new lens…but knowing that Little E needed his glasses.

Frustrated…I gave in and we went to Vogue Optical where the very nice lady told us not to worry about it…they would cover it and we wouldn’t have to pay the money! ¬† (And I didn’t even have to tell her we didn’t have it!)

Made my day a little better…UNTIL later that night when…….

I came up into the living room to see the screen door open slightly…knowing that my older cat had opened it and pretty sure that my kitten had run out it.

So I grabbed my shoes and started hunting the dark outside for my kitten. ¬†Looked everywhere…growing more and more frustrated as the minutes passed by. ¬†Grumbling at my husband for not realizing the door was open (even though it wasn’t his fault to be a guard to the door).

About 10 minutes later…she came back…perfectly fine.

So in three days I had lost three things and had found three things…and do you know what????

Not once had I relied and trusted God to help me find these things.

Now..I know some of you are probably saying “well that’s silly….those weren’t big things”. ¬†But, somebody asked me on Facebook (when I was looking for the sweater) if I had “prayed to God about it….because even He cares about the little things!” ¬† And you know what….I’m sure that probably would have helped my frustration level…if nothing else.

So lesson learned: ¬†Next time I am looking for something….or have a problem..not matter how small it is…I’m going to take it to God first, and let Him take care of the rest.

Blessing: ¬†My blessing for today is that my husband is working! ¬†Working pays the bills! ¬†ūüôā

It’s Sunday….it’s time to show the things I have been thankful for over the past week.

PS. ¬†This might not interest any of you…but it holds me accountable for showing how blessed and appreciative I am.

1) ¬†For the lady at Vogue Optical who fixed Little E’s glasses for FREE…even though when we called before they told us it would be $90.

2)  For Little E having a great day at his first day at preschool.

3)  For a husband who is a great handyman and can fix my house.

4) ¬†For finding Little E’s sweater…after I had been looking for it for 2 days.

5)  Seeing old friends.

6)  Laughter

7)  Hugs and kisses.

8) ¬†For a Jesus who loves me and finds me worthy even when I don’t.

9)  Zumba

10) A chance to sleep in.

Well today was the day!  My little man (Little E) went to preschool for the first time.

Hubby and I talked about it a while ago and thought it wouldn’t hurt for him to go to preschool once or twice a week so he can get used to being without us so once he gets into school in a few years it won’t be so hard on him.

He told me last night that he was scared.

So I prayed with him and told him that mommy was scared too but I knew he was going to be a big boy and that he could handle it.  Then I told him that Jesus was with him.

He was pretty excited to go this morning once he saw his book bag and hubby said that he did really good.

Mommy did good too. ¬†I didn’t call AT ALL.

I was tempted to a few times…but I held back.

And he did excellent! ¬†He ate all his food…even had a 20 min nap and I think he has a new friend named Caleb…but the jury is still out on that one.

And…he can’t wait to go back!

Take a look at how cute he was this morning!

Uggh…break my heart. ¬†ūüė¶ ¬†But I’m glad he’s having fun.
